Would it not be great if your laundry business had an economical fully featured website and mobile app solution? That is exactly what I am currently working on. The solution includes a website, mobile API and 2 mobile apps for clients and pickup/delivery staff members.

The Website

The functionality of the website in the eyes of your customers will be similar to a fast, responsive and interactive e-commerces store. User will be presented a variety of services, will be able to add them to the cart while selecting specific options for a particular service. For example to select a specific conditioner to be used on a leather jacket that would cost an additional $10.00. Once users create an order, they will be given an estimate and be able to tract the progress of the order. They will be notified by SMS, e-email and if mobile apps are involved real-time notifications.

In the administrative perspective the website will only be accessible to particular users you specify as "staff". Staff members will have roles which will dictate how much access they have to the system. For example a user with only the "transport" role will only have access to pickups and deliveries assigned for him.

As the web-site administrator/owner (with role "super-admin") will have unrestricted access to the system with the abilities including but not limited to managing users, roles, orders, invoicing, and controlling site features like email/sms notifications.

The site is a standalone product that can be used without its companion mobile applications. The initial release of the website is expected to be available by the end of March - 2021.

Client App (Mobile)

The mobile applications provides your clients an easy way to access the services you provide hassle free without needing to open a browser. The app will be a convenient way for clients to make cost estimates and to request a pickup and also provide their current geo location or select a stored geo location in their profile (ex: to select "home" when they are at work).

Once a pickup request is made appropriate staff members will be notified. The order will propagate through states "Pickup Requested", "Approved", "Arriving on Pickup Location", "On Location", "Picked Up", "In Facility", "Invoiced", "Paid", "Processing", "Finalised", "Ready for Delivery", "Arriving on Delivery Location" and finally delivered.

With the Client App users will be able to fully manage their profiles with your organisation, view orders, contact your organisation through in app messaging and manage payment methods. It provides all the features made available in the websites clients section plus more.

Transport App (Mobile)

The Transport app is intended to be used by users with "transport" role. Once assigned a pickup/delivery order the staff member will have access to the order and location details including turn-by-turn navigation powered by Google and in-app messaging facilities to contact the user. The app also has the ability to invoice the user on pickup by verifying the users cart items and making any necessary amendments if the app is configured to do so.

As with the Client App, the Transport App is optional and provided separately. It consists all the features provided by the "transports" section of the web app. Turn by turn navigation and real-time messing would be the additional benefit of the transport app.

Availability

The website is expected to be available by mid April. The Client App and Transport App are expected to be available by August 2021.
