The quality of a video has 3 aspects. They are video resolution, audio quality and playback smoothness. If any of these are compromised watching a video is not entertaining. This is how I fixed the MKV video playback issues I had.

Looking for an iPad, I found this store in Liberty Plaza through a listing on ikman.lk called MacXeon. I visited the location, its was small, and the sales women there knew her Apple and was a delight meet as many sellers don't have the passion to sell a product like Apple.

It bugs me that no one has identified that Clark Kent is Superman. It is not like he has a mask on. If any human missed the fact, I find it hard to believe that facial recognition and surveillance networks have also failed.

Sri Lankas proud education system was put to reality check when the COVID 19 lock-down hit the country. Inequalities in the society let some students continue learning while others were left behind. Sri Lanka is not ready for remote learning is one of the main things we learnt.

The COVID19 pandemic was not all negative. I made it an excuse to cut my own hair. It went fairly well the first 5 times, better than my pears. How ever the 6th was botched due to technical error cause by carelessness.

I have been with Payoneer for over 10 years. I recently topped it up with $1700 to order a new card. I can't get a replacement card and can't withdraw money. I can't even use the Support Center.

The choice of using Highlgiht JS is almost a sentimental one. Various bugs and complications forced me to replace Highlight JS with Rouge (Ruby) and I am happy I did.

Ever since I started using Payoneer to withdraw UpWork funds, it supported a free fund-loading option. Sadly Payoneer will be retiring this option and only maintain the $2.50 immediate funds loading. While not much, $2.50 makes a difference for many.

Electronic waste is a major concern in many countries including EU and Sri Lanka. Charging port harmonization will help, but not that much. I believe bundling products (headphones, charging cable, charging brick) should not be allowed and users should be made to buy them separate.

SLTNet is the premier Internet Service Provider in Sri Lanka thanks to their monopoly in the market. While their services are good, their pricing for bandwidth is daylight robbery. On top of that many are concerned if they are cheating w.r.t. bandwidth usage.

A grown-up pigeon, possibly somebody's pet, ended up on my property at Thalahena on 28 Sep 2021. Predation had left little of its body when I discovered it. It was buried around 16:30 hours the same day.
