SALA - Online Order Experience

SALA is best known for its role in importing and distributing PROLINK UPS in Sri Lanka. If you buy a PROLINK UPS anywhere in Sri Lanka, the chances are it comes from a SALA warehouse. Over the last eight years, I have stopped by SALA to buy UPSs, power banks and more.

I used their e-commerce portal, sala.lk, for the first time yesterday and ordered myself a new PROLINK Line Interactive UPS for my iMac. This is part of my quest to try and experience e-commerce offerings by local businesses so that people like you can know upfront what to expect.

Firstly, I registered on the site. Before you place an order, it is always a good idea to register upfront. You can usually do this as you check out. Then I added the items to the cart, which included a 1200VA line interactive PROLINK UPS. And finally, I started the checkout process.

My only concern is their choice of payment gateway. I wish it were a company I knew. Once the payment was processed, I got an order confirmation e-mail. Today a gentleman on a Hilux delivered the UPS to me.

Overall the experience is excellent, and I can recommend it. But I have only used the SALA e-commerce portal once.
