I have a 115 gallon fish tank with just 2 pairs of GoldFish - a pair of Black Moor and a pair of Gold Fish. I have been planing to add 3 different pairs (different varieties) of fish to my aquarium so that the count will be 10. But there have been a lack of good choice since the COVID19 China Wuhan pandemic destroyed the Sri Lankan economy and disrupted supply-chains.

East West Aquarium is my de-facto aquarium / pet-fish supplies. I have no affiliation to the business what so ever. In fact since I noticed they are without masks inside the store, I hope they get good competition and a run for their money. But it seems to be the best one stop store for pet fish and aquarium supplies according to people in to the hobby and Google reviews.

Last Monday I when I was close to Thibirigasyaya I stopped by the store. The store didn't have a large variety. The sales person told me that variety is low because import restrictions. I have never fancied about having a pair of Shubunkin. Shubunkin is a cross between Comet Gold Fish, Calico telescope eyed Gold Fish and the Common Gold Fish. I love the Comet and the Calico but I can't say I am that in to Shubunkin.

They are relatively small with respect to the others as I have been waiting for some time to get my hands on different varieties. But it looks like mums happy with the pair so no disappointment there. But the buggers gave me floaters when I explicitly asked for food that sink and he acknowledged. Unbelievable 🤷‍♂️!

Waiting with a half populated tank until imports are relaxed.
